For simple process automation projects like this, I have found that the most important design step is careful analysis of the user needs. This is one of those design truisms, that seems almost impossible to overemphasize, whether for software design or building design.Although I periodically check in with archives staff on whether any update to the catalog system is called for, no revision has been asked for in approximately the last three years of continuous use.
