DesignWorkshop Lofting Machine

A DesignWorkshop online machine for creating complex lofted solids from a simple set of polylines.

What it Does

The Lofting Machine is great for creating solid shapes like a boat hull, an airplane wing, a hyperbolic parabaloid, a smooth terrain object based on contour lines, or the roof of Ronchamp.

Guidelines:

Every object in the submitted file must be a polyline, and will become part of the lofted solid.

All the polylines must have the same number of vertices.

The vertices of the polylines are connected in order, so draw each polyline in the same direction, and with the similar corresponding starting vertex.

Choose one of three available methods for the order in which the polylines will be surfaced together. If using the "geometric" method for determining polyline order, then indicate the longitudinal axis, along which the polylines are arranged.
